Artist Profile

In 1990, Michael Olsen switch professional expressions from photo journalist to his passion for flamenco guitar.

Picking up a guitar at the age of 11, Michael played in a Southern California band “The Epics” in the 1960’s and later became influenced by Manitas de Plata. Michael's guitar playing soon evolved from rock to today’s modern Flamenco.

1990 , Michael Olsen performed "Halleluiah" as a solo guitarist for 10,000 people at the Calvery Chapel at Irvine Meadows for Easter Sunday Service.

In 2000, Michael developed his independent music site on MP3.com where his songs were listened by 80,225 vistors by December 2003.

By 1996, Michael released his first Flamenco Guitarist CD "California Ole" which lead to the CD release of "Vigo & Miguel" recorded with Vigo Taylor on Cello.

1997 Michael and his father,George Olsen Jr. , recorded "Jorge & Miguel"

1999 recording "Light Shining in the Distance" with The Forefathers if the New Millennium featuring Rahul Sakyaputra and Vine Sweetland.

2000 Michael performed at The Las Vegas Art Museum for the Salvador Dali Exhibit which released his CD Dali's Millennium .
